2. Uses (Indications)

Ozempic is used alone or with other medicines to improve blood glucose (sugar) levels in people with type 2 diabetes.
Diabetes medicines like semaglutide are used when diet, exercise, weight loss, and medicines like metformin, glyburide, or insulin do not lower blood sugar well enough on their own.
Ozempic works by helping your body make more insulin and control blood sugar levels.
Ozempic also has the effect of losing weight, reducing energy intake, and reducing the desire for fat.

3. Dosage

The recommended starting dose for adults of Ozempic is 0.25 mg once a week. Semaglutide is injected under the skin (subcutaneously) into your abdomen (belly), upper thigh, or upper arm, exactly as directed by your doctor or diabetes educator.
Ozempic can be injected at any time of day, regardless of meals. After four weeks, your dose will be increased to 0.5 mg once a week.

5.Overdose
If an overdose occurs, notify your doctor immediately, or if you experience any unusual symptoms, go to the hospital for timely treatment.

7.Missed dose:
Take the dose as soon as you remember. Do not take a second dose to make up for a dose you may have missed. Just continue with the next dose.

8. Do not use in the following cases (Contraindications)
Do not use for people who are sensitive to any ingredient of the drug

Common:

Nausea (feeling sick)
Vomiting (being sick)
Stomach (abdominal) pain
Constipation
Diarrhea
Serious:
Increased risk of thyroid tumors, including cancerous tumors
Kidney problems, including kidney failure
Severe allergic reaction to the drug that can cause itching, rash, swelling, and difficulty breathing
Inflammation of your pancreas (pancreatitis)
Changes in your vision
Very low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
